Redevelopment agencies were officially dissolved on February 1, 2012 pursuant to legislation and the California Supreme Court’s decision announced on December 29, 2011, in the California Redevelopment Association v. Matosantos case. The city, county or city and county that sponsored and authorized the creation of the redevelopment agency became the Successor Agency upon dissolution unless they adopted a resolution electing not to serve in that capacity. The entities identified on this webpage have adopted a resolution electing to serve as the successor agency for the redevelopment agency they created and are responsible for winding down enforceable obligations and carrying out dissolution actions.
